Major discussions have been held to determine if this extension should be built. You will be divided into groups of four. Each of you will have a role in the decision. You must take into account environmental impact, economic growth, safety and quality of life for island inhabitants. You will want to address the following questions:
(1) Who stands to gain from this project? What will they gain?
(2) Who stands to loose if it is built? What will the cost be?
(3) Who gains if the extension is not built? What do they gain?
(4) Assuming the extension is built, what path should it follow?
(5) Your committee will decide if the last leg of I 526 is to be built, and if so, where.
